Student Development
Academic Development: Davis Academic Project provides effective
tutoring for students who need academic assistance. Our partners conduct
extensive workshops and private sessions for students who have low grade point
averages. We teach students how to learn, based on the latest research in
cognitive science. We also help students to retain information by transferring it
from short-term memory to long-term memory. Hourly Rate: $75 per half hour
Psycho-Social Development: Our presenters conduct sessions that help
students deal with their bio-psycho-social issues. Based on the most current
research on student issues, Davis Academic Project provides dynamic sessions
that teach students how to cope with life, develop skills, and overcome obstacles.
We also teach students to become presenters and how to develop a task-force
for positive change in their learning community. Hourly Rate: $300 at a two-hour
minimum.
